Changing the Web Interface Language

The information in this article applies to product: e-Work 6.6.2

Issue

• The registry value HKEY\_LOCAL\_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Metastorm\\e-work\\Web Interface\\Weblanguage fails to change the e-Work web interface language.

Resolution

• This registry value was used in version 5 of e-Work. To change the web interface language in version 6.6.2, do the following:

  1. Locate the Locale Resource\\Language Resources directory under the physical location of the e-Work web server virtual folder (e.g., C:\\Program Files\\Metastorm e-Work\\Web6\\eweb\\Locale Resource\\Language Resources). This directory contains 4 additional directories, one for each supported language. In each directory is a file called LanguageConfig.xml.
  2. Copy LanguageConfig.xml from the desired directory and paste it into Locale Resource, two directories up.
  3. Locate the ie\\jscripts\\Language Resources directory under the physical location of the e-Work web server virtual folder. This directory contains 4 additional directories, one for each supported language. In each directory is a file called language.js.
  4. Copy language.js from the desired directory and paste it into ie\\jscripts, two directories up.
• If necessary, restart IIS and clear the browser cache.
