OLEDB Provider Cannot Be Found

Issue

• The error message 'Provider cannot be found. It may not be properly installed.' is generated when trying to use the Designer or Utilities.

Resolution

• The e-Work Engine, Designer, and Utilities use OLEDB and require that an OLEDB Provider be installed. Installing the supported version of MDAC (Microsoft Data Access Components) will install the OLEDB Provider needed to connect to SQL Server. However, if connecting to Oracle, the supported OLEDB Provider for Oracle will need to be installed separately.
