Issue
The Metastorm BPM Deployment Service fails to start, and an error message containing the following text is written to the Windows event log:
Exception message: Unable to start the Deployment Service because the target database schema is not compatible. The schema version is pre-v9.0, but the expected schema version is '\{1\}'.
Resolution
- Using the Deployment Service with a database prior to version 9 is not supported. If the schema is changed across two different versions of version 9, the above error message would specify the version expected in place of \{1\}.
