Workaround for ProVision crashing when running Simulation in Windows 7

Issue

There is a known issue in 6.2.1 where ProVision will crash in Windows 7 if you are running simulation with animation turned on.  This only occurs in Windows 7 when using an Aero theme in your Personalization settings.

 

Resolution

In order to work around this issue in ProVision 6.2.1, and the upcoming 6.2.2 release, do the following:

1. Right-click on the Desktop and select Personalize.
2. Left-click on one of the Basic and High Contrast Themes to set it as your desktop theme. The attachment depicts the Windows 7 Basic theme being selected.

 

This should be fixed in a post version 6.2.2 release.
