Metastorm is proud to include the following new capabilities in Metastorm Knowledge Exchange 6.2.2:

Reuse of reused content – Reusing objects is a way to maintain “common” content that typically would be used in a number of notebooks across your enterprise. Now, you can extend the definition of a reused object by modifying the object (adding new components for example), so if the source object is reused again in another notebook, the new notebook will have gained the extended information.
Shared Object indicator – A “Shared Object” indicator now displays on ProVision objects that have been checked out of a Knowledge Exchange notebook when those objects have been shared. Clicking this indicator on the object displays a Shared Object Detail dialog box.
Where Used in Source menu option – A “Where Used in Source” menu option can now be accessed on ProVision reused objects that have been checked out of a Knowledge Exchange notebook. From here, you can click the name of the model to launch a Webvision view of the model.

After deleting a notebook, the Repository tree is not refreshed, the notebook remains in the list of available notebooks, and clicking the notebook yields error: Internet Explorer Script Error.

An Administrator cannot set a different Modeling Language as default for a repository or a notebook.

Business Class Attributes > Design Details > Occurs field properties display as null instead of displaying values.

Changing an object detail name, and then refreshing and reloading the model, does not display the new name in the model; the new name only displays in the object details.

Check out Detail dialog of a partially checked out notebook needs more descriptive information about checked out notebook.

Check-in of Finalized links is editable when checked out by a different user.

CIF Export – Workflow discriminators are exported with a value of '1' even when not connected to a decision point.

CIF Import – When a notebook exists in a different repository on the same server, the notebook cannot be imported into a specified repository.

Clicking any tab on a notebook deleted by another user yields error: “E0041 - An error has occurred on the server.”

Clicking Bridge Start jumps to an incorrect location or another KE model.

Clicking the Back and Forward buttons in the KE internal browser yields a Script error.

Clicking the Backspace button twice on the Notify Users dialog box yields error: Java Script “Permission denied.”

Clicking the Save button in the Details tab for any Model yields a Java Script error message.

Concurrent check-in of a notebook to KE Server takes an unacceptably long time to complete.

Context objects are missing from the model.

Custom object detail dialog has Drawing link associations that are not listed in ProVision’s Association tab.

Custom Property (Unsigned character Data Type) – Value appears to have been dropped after being checked in to Knowledge Exchange.

Data Warehouse extract failure sends too many notifications.

Decision point Object detail dialog custom type does not allow the user to set as the decision point in ProVision.

Decision points are displayed as a dark blue diamond with a light blue circle inside rather than a dark blue diamond.

Deleting an activity from a Process model only deletes some parent/child links.

Description tab – The scroll bar is too long and does not allow the last item to be visible.

Double-clicking an access rule twice yields error: “Sorry, an error occurred.”

Empty Workflow lanes do not display.

Horizontal scroll bar displays way below the screen and cannot be dragged.

If the window is not in the full frame or maximized, the horizontal scroll bar is obscured by the frame.

In PNG mode, drilling down through Workflow objects into other models renders the Bookmark button unavailable. Clicking the Bookmark button yields an “error on page” message.

Inventory is not refreshed until the cache is cleared.

Issue detail dialog box, Associations tab is missing Attachment links.

Locks are not released after checking in a notebook.

Models do not open in the WebSphere environment but open in the Apache Tomcat environment.

Opening the Status tab in KE Admin and then opening any model or object in ProVision yields a Java Script error message.

Operation model’s objects and links are shifting location.

Orphaned constraints are not deleted from the server even after they have been purged by the ProVision client during the check-out process.

Process Modeler – After check-in, a number of Process models appear to display with additional objects that were not present when the model is opened in ProVision.

Process Modeler – Link origination points on a subject object shift to different positions around the object when compared with their positioning in ProVision.

Process Modeler – Link styles change (e.g., straight corners to direct links) when viewed.

Process Modeler – Link termination points do not point at the object.

Process Modeler – Objects display in a different location in Webvision than in ProVision.

Process Modeler – Process models that were not expanded in ProVision are displayed as expanded in KE.

Process Modeler – Two similarly name objects, both of which are subjects of their own Process models, have switched styles when compared to their respective versions within ProVision.

Project Inventory – Clicking a model to open it fails.

Resize IE page and switch between Modeling Language tab and Access Rules tab causes Access Rules and Modeling Language to display in the same page.

Resizing the Webvision workspace in ProVision (using tabs on the Server level only) yields a Java Script error.

Resource Utilization Grid error occurs when displaying Analysis Inventory: Index out of range; not enough rows in grid.

Reverting to a previous notebook version is not releasing locks on the notebook.

Role and Rule custom link associations are not maintained.

Scheduler – Deleting a notebook that is already used in Scheduler tasks yields error: “java.lang.NullPointerException.”

Scheduling – Attempting to add Warehouse Extract as a task yields error: “E0008: An error has occurred on the server \[8\].”

Search – Repositories that do not contain notebooks can be selected as a notebook itself; clicking the Next button yields a Runtime Error.

Selecting a new model in PNG mode yields script error: “‘\_firebugDoc' is null or not an object.”

Some Workflow lanes have lost their icon.

Swimlanes are changing their stack order.

Synchronization reports an error after a notebook abbreviation has been updated on the KE source notebook.

The Alias glyph does not display for Activity Usages in the Viewer.

The Environmental object detail dialog, Association tab does not list Associations.

The model contexts which are shown in Webvision do not match with ProVision.

The Production table shows no deliverables associated to a system interaction link.

The Properties tab of the Object detail dialog box is not fixed and is adjusting its size based on the text in the list box.

The Property tab does not display scroll bars (horizontal and vertical) within the Properties window.

The Stores object details dialog box is missing the Deliverable tab.

Typing an apostrophe ( ‘ ) in some fields of the Object detail dialog box (Name field and Properties tab) will omit the text that follows.

Unable to save any information added or updated on the Details tab for a model; progress bar cycles continuously.

Users granted “CreateNotebook” rights should be granted “Full” rights on the notebook the user created.

Viewer – All associated Artifact objects in a Workflow model do not show up when clicking the drop-down arrow.

Viewer – Both the object itself and Process model do not display proper numbering.

Viewer – Clicking the down arrow does not provide the option to open the child model with multiple contexts, and only opens one context.

Viewer – Clicking the down arrow shows an extra child model name.

Warehouse Extract Schema – Attempting to open or save an extracted file yields a save/open message. Choosing either option closes the message box without saving or opening the file.

Warehouse Login – User is permitted to log in if not all required access rights are established.

When Debug is turned on in the WebSphere environment, check-in is not successful, and a RPC marshalling error message is displayed.

When modifying a Decision object's description, blank spaces are appended.

When Oracle WebLogic is used as application server, opening a rule object either through Object Inventory or a model yields an error message.

When the control type of the gateway objects style is changed the image (in ProVision), the object image is not changed in the Viewer.

When using WebLogic, attempting to view an object’s detail yields error: “Sorry, an error has occurred.”

When viewing certain context models, the Select Context dialog does not display.

Where a folder name is long, the pane’s width must be made very large to display the scroll bar.

When using hyphen ( - ) or forward slash ( / ) characters in an object name, the name is not displayed.

could you provide a workaround for known issue "Conversion from 6.1.1 does not set correct foreign keys for the Locks, LockMembers, and CheckoutMementos tables"? When will be fixed?

Hi Gabriele,

You can upgrade first to v6.1.4, and then upgrade to v6.2.2.

To check that you do or do not have the proper structuring:

How to check if constraints are correct:
Oracle:
1.Log as admin repository user to Oracle SQL*Plus
2. execute following query:
