ISS download issues.

Hi All,

I am VERY new to Metastorm. I understand I need to IIS component for hosting the webservice.

I am trying to setup my dev environment. I have WindowsXP Professional. For some strange reason we can not find the CD to install the ISS component from windows add/remove option. Also the dev environment is isolated and is not connected to the internet so I can not use the windows installer to install it automatically.

Hence I need to manually download the iis server and then transfer and install to the dev environment.

However, I can not find the iss server download option anywhere on the internet. I have located the manager and the administration tools but not the actual server download.

Can you please point me to an absolute location to download IIS.

I am quite sure you will not be able to access it from the Microsoft site, unless of course you have an MSDN licence. I have had a quick look and all I can find are management tools for IIS.

When this happens to me I normally install from MSDN discs. Do you have acccess to those or a log in to the MSDN site?

I do have a login for MSDN website but it is not connected to a licence. Is there a section to download the ISS server.

I created this account a long time ago in a past life and have never used it.

I think some of the other guys on here may be able to advise better than me but I think IIS will be part of the XP licence so you will need all of the installation files to get hold of the IIS installers.

Does the company you work for have an MSDN license or can you contact the guys who set the PC's/servers up as they may have some way of doing this?
