Currently when logging into Metastorm Services Manager in version 7.5 we login with the schema owner database credentials. This is fine for the most part as it gives full access to all functionality, however i am now looking into the potential of giving restricted / read only access.
When I attempt to login with a database account which has read only access to all objects owned by the schema owner I get an error message of "This is not a Metastorm version 7 database" and cannot progress any further or login.
Or when attempting to login to Users & Roles I get "ORA-00942: table or view does not exist" - so presumably the applications are specifically looking for objects owned by the schema owner which is configured in the engine?
Does anyone know what permissions are required to allow login to Services manager / users & Roles etc...?
I'm thinking that I may be able to set up Synonyms within the database which would allow a different user to login?
Any help or previous experience appreciated.
Thanks,
Mark Reid
