Changing Business Objects loses all assignments

We've known for a while that grid fields get lost when you have to add fields to Business Objects, but it seems now that all related assignment activity entries are lost too. There is no warning, no warning on deployment, and there is no way to tell what was there, either, unlike grids.

I'm using SR1 and none of my references are lost with Business Objects base on queries.  For ones based on tables, there is a current limitation that they cannot be refershed without removing and readding, which does nullify all refernces.  SR2 will be addressing this by adding a manual refresh for table based Business Objects.
