I've been having some fun with various enhancements that are coming up in SR2, and we have some great ones that make a big difference for our grids.
The most noticeable change is that we have added a new "Status" column type. This is exactly like the status field, but in column form. This allows the process designer to create a graphical indicator that changes based on threshold and can be used to drilldown into further content. While we were doing this, we also took the opportunity to add in some minor enhancements people have asked for to the Status field including: configurable hint messages, easier drilldown design, and the ability to show value next to the image. Here is a screen shot of the new properties of the status field.

Another enhancement we have put in the SR2 grids is around sort order. For those of you not using v9 yet, one of the enhancements to our grids from v7 was to allow end users to control their own sort order. Feedback has be great on this, but people wanted to be able to sort on more than one column. So, we've added a couple of new properties to allow the process designer to enable/disable multi-sort and to hide/show a special clear sort button for the grid. Here is a shot of the grid with sorting and a new status column.

I think it looks great and I'm sure our customers and partners will find create use of this new functionality. What do you think? Do you have other ideas to improve our grids? if so, log them here or better yet via the Ideas section.
