Looking for a technote which outlines/describes the best practice for configuring SQL Server 2005 that will host a MBPM 7.6 SR3 db. Technote should include things like, collation type, parameters for characters, etc.

I don't believe Metastorm has a document that exactly suits your request but the Metastorm BPM Supported Environments Guide may start you in the right direction. Specifically section 2.2.4 related to Database Support. I've attached that Guide to this post but it is also accessible from the Customer and Partner zones.
The collation is, as far as I can tell, up to you. There is ssibly a requirement (or there was once) that the collation of the Metastorm database is the same as the default for the server, but that issue may have been fixed.
I'm not sure what you mean by "parameters for characters, etc". Is there is anything specific you need not covered in the document mentioned?
