filestore path changes in test environment

has anyone used a test environment or production for that matter and changed the FileServer path for the library.

If so, did you merely go into the Configuration Manager, Edit the File Server for the library and select the new path?

I am receiving an error when doing this an wanted to know if there is something else i am missing.

Error states:

"The selected file server path must contain the proper file server marker file to ensure a valid file server directory for this library"

You can also check if the table sys_file_server has the fileserver listed correct.

it does....
i also tried updating the table itself and not through the configuration manager.
it allowed me to update of course but the data retreival/saves were not working within the web interface.
also logs showed "can't find file server.." errors

In case anyone reading this is curious, I finally figured out how to make this work:

1)stopped cms
2)deleted local libraries from configuration manager
3) updated sql table with new filestore UNC (path to filestore)
4) added back the local libraries
5) started cms

Tested and it found all existing docs, and was able to write new ones and retrieve no prob..

i guess the recreation of the library within configuration manager did the trick
