How can we create a hyperlink in metastorm 9.0?

Hi...All,

 

How can we create a hyperlink in metastorm (9.0 with SR2)?

 

I tried with the following approach.

I drag one label field on to the form Form1 and set the propery

URL="/Metastorm/Forms/Process_link/en-US/Form2.aspx"

I created one more form form2.

I could be able to open form2 by click on the link (on form1)but the data attached to the controls is not populating...you can see the jpeg file attached to this message for more details.

i tried with other url http://localhost/Metastorm/Form2.aspx?Map=Process_link&Service=Metastorm+BPM+Server

 still i am facing the same  issue....

 

How can i get the data to the controls also...?

please do need ful with a simple solution.

You firstly need to be aware of how URLs will work when in the client browser. If you have the "http://" on the front, it will be an absolute reference (as opposed to relative). Thus, "http://localhost/..." will point to the local PC, ie where the client is running, not the server.

 

You need a relative reference. If you had a file in a directory 'MyDir' under the Metastorm BPM 'Web' directory, eg "C:\Program Files\Metastorm\BPM\Web" then I believe that a URL on the client such as "MyDir/MyFile.txt" will reference the myFile.tyxt in that directory.

 

If you want to use a directory off the inetpub root director (eg "C:\inetpub\wwwroot/MyDir") thane a URL such as "//MyDir/MyFile.txt" will work.

 

All this is based on my experiences, and may be flawed due to a poor memory, but I think this is the way it goes. The basic premise is correct, I think.
