problems binding grid to business object in v9SR2

Silly me, I temporarily un-bound my grid from my business object while I was trying to do something experimental. Now I can't re-bind it again.

I can set the grid to get data out of the business object, but when it comes to binding the columns, it seems like there has been no code written for when I select what I want to bind to. It just sits there and does nothing, I can't put a value in (see picture). No code on the business-object select event, no code on the OK button.

Dear Metastorm, please can you fix this in SR3? I am using Sr2 with hotfix at the moment.

Now I'm going to have to trawl through the the xml files for the form and see if I can put them in manually without the help of the designer. Yuck! There is no other way that I can set the columns now as far as I can see...

I'm actually trying to fix the Query admin forms which came with v7, as they didn't migrate well. It would be better if there were some v9 ones to use instead of trying to fix the v7 ones. Is there somewhere I can find them?

I have some example generic search forms which I have updated to v9 which I can share. These were intended for demonstration purposes so they may not be fully bulletproof, and of course they are not officially supported.

Are you running on SQL or Oracle DB?

I suspect your Business Object is still broken. Have you refreshed it and checked that the variable names are listed?

We do have some examples here.

I have to mention that I thought it was quite telling that none of the existing examples were migrated. I would have expected that to be one of the first things to demonstrate.

Because there limitation with Business Objects, especially for dynamic queries (and more especially with Oracle for a number of technical reasons) we have had to rebuild all of our queries. Dynamic SQL just won't fly any more. We have solved a few of these in our examples, however.

Yes by business object was broken, I ended up rewriting it as a stored procedure, but I'm still really struggling with passing dates in and out. I still can't open the form even.
