grouptask not removing task from users list that didn't take ownership

I have 3 people defined to a group. When the workflow transitions to this grouptask for approving content, all 3 people see the task in their list. One of the people take ownership of the task. The others can still go out and see the task on their list and Approve or Reject. Is there something I need to set to prohibit the other user from being able to work on this task when someone else has taken it?

Be very specific on that the users are doing.

Is this CC_pro or std ?

What are they viewing ? My tasks or All tasks ? If you view all tasks and have permission to, you can transition it.

Since you mentioned they could see the unassigned group task, then they are likely looking at all tasks.

One thing I dislike about cc_pro is that there is no "unassigned group tasks AND my tasks", so the only way I can view both is to look at All tasks (or jobs)

I am using CC_pro. They are looking at all tasks. When i change to look at My Jobs I dont see it at all. Is that the owner setting on the workflow control?

So this is working as documented, though it is not optimal (IMHO). You should look at why the 3 users have permission to work on other peoples tasks, are they Masters ?

I do not think so, I filed a FR 61948 in 05 and as far as I can tell, it is deferred.

Hmm - I just checked and you're right ... I could have sworn I saw it somewhere ... maybe it was something that was coming in SP1 (anyone heard any updates on this yet?)
