Provision KE Server access via extranet

I'm currently trying to extend our Provision intranet via the extranet. We currently have a reverse proxy configuration which translates and extranet URL to an intranet URL.  I am successfully able to log in to the client and see the repositories. When trying to expand the rpeositories to view the notebooks, I confronted with the following error  "Invalid XML".

 

I'm successfully able to browse to the extranet URL via a web browser and see the notebooks in  the repositories.

Any indeas on how to fix this? Is it possible to for the solution to be implemented they way we are intending?
