Ts 6.7.1 Sp1 - Vfe

Hi All -

We recently upgraded to SP1 (Windows 2003 Server).

A new version of VFE (boooo) comes with this upgrade.

Now, when users enter French characters (i.e. é) into VFE, they are not converted to HTML entities (i.e. é).

Is there a valid explanation for this? It is breaking some of our content deployment tools.

The previous version of VFE (pre SP1) did this conversion OOTB ...

So, by default, VFE comes with utf-8 turned on for charencode. I don't understand why it wouldn't leave the default of the previous version - entityname.

No we have a bunch of DCRs with entityname conversion, and a bunch with UTF-8 encoding.
