Flag not being raised immediately when triggerd from a form load

The attached Solution shows an example where a flag is raised when the form is loaded. The flag is raised against the folder itself, and the folder is not locked at all.

 

The flag is not raised, however. There is an entry in the eRaisedFlag table with no time, and there are no errors reported.

 

We are being told this is expected behaviour since the flag is not raised 'in an action'. I call BS.

 

Q1. Why then is the flag not raised when I perfrom a later action? It takes a long time to get processed, as if there was a time in the 'wait until' field, even though there is none.

 

Q2: What would you expect to occur if an external system raised a flag? Would you expect the same behaviour? It would not be acceptable in any system we build, that's for sure.

 

I am pretty certain it would do what I expect in version 7, and will test this when I get time. Right now it appears to be a bug.

As I suspected, it works perfectly well in version 7...
