Unable to establish connection with server

Hi ,
I'm currently using Teamsite 6.5 installed in solaris 9.And Opendploy 6.0.2 sp1 and Oracle 10g client installed in the server machine.From Yesterday I'm getting an error in the login screen (GUI )as:" A property was not set in the configuration file" above the Username to be entered in the login screen.

To avoid this problem i have modified the below file

\cssdk\cssdk.cfg

and set the "defaultTSServer property" to the hostname where TeamSite is running and did a "iwreset -ui".

After that we are getting the following error

"Unable to establish connection with server" in the login screen

Kindly help us in resolving this issue.

Did you check the TeamSite service is running?
run ps -ef | grep iwserver and check
run iwstat -c to check if Store is running

What does the iwserver.log,iwtrace.log say to you?

You have not to run the command properly.
If the iwhome/bin is not added to the path variable, you have to add it and then run command
or else
directly run command as iwhome/bin/iwstat -c

1) stop_all Teamsite and associated services
2) Start the TeamSite service

It's taking more time to stop,we've waited for a long time(more than 25 minutes) but still it's not yet stopped,shall we abort?

You have to do kill -9 procid

procid is the process id of the iwserver process.

Then stop and start TeamSite process

Finally you got the error...
Your event subsystem pasword could not be obtained.
So eventsubsystem was not started..
Since event subsystem did not start..
The TeamSite service didnot start ..

Fix the eventsubsystem password issue.. it should solve your problem

I'm currently encountering the same issue.

TS 6.5 SP3 on Sol 9

However my eventsubd.log has:

Our issue was resolved.

We were running 'iwfsshrink' when this crashed.

1. We removed two particular huge file that caused the space to fill up.

/usr/iw-home/eventsubsystem/
65467512 -rw-r--r-- 1 root other 33487437824 Jan 31 09:38 openjms.db
5480 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 2798312 Jan 31 14:02 openjms.lg

2. Killed the shrinking process:

/local/iw-store/default/RMDUPS_1
/local/iw-store/default/RMDUPS_2

3. Restarted TS.
