Session Timeout When Using Side-By-Side Configuration

Issue

• When Metastorm BPM versions 7.6 and 9 are in a side-by-side configuration, the user receives a session timeout error when trying to create or access a version 7.6 folder using the version 9 web client. Creating or accessing a version 9 folder works without error.

Resolution

• The service time stamp is taken from the DB server in version 9 and from the Engine server in version 7. Therefore, if the system time on the version 7 Engine server and the system time on the version 9 DB server differ by more than the session timeout configured for the repository, the session timeout error will occur.
• Make sure the time is synchronized for all servers in the services.
