simple pt compilation problem

I am unable to compile a simple pt..unfortunately i dont have cmdline access or access to logs. my pt has

<iw_value name='dcr.Root.Head.Title'/><br>

This is a Test

datacapture.cfg is

Heading

Title

This is the title of the press release.

Please learn to surround your HTML code with [html]...[/html] tags when you post - and use the Preview Post option to verify what you're posting before it goes out.

On an off-chance here - try changing

dcr.Root.Head.Title

dcr.Root.Head.title

. I've never used elements with different 'name' and 'pathid' values - in your case it looks like you have 'title' and 'Title' and I'm wondering whether that's causing some problem.

I tried that too..I was getting error when i preview..It gives me just a pt compilation error message. Do you see any other issue with it.

DId you try:

<iw_pt name="testing"/>
<html>
  <head>        
    <title><iw_value name='dcr.Root.Head.Title'/>
    </title>        
  </head>
  <body>
    This is a Test
  </body>
</html>

And yes - as was suggested - please post the error or the actual code from the generated output (wrapped within [html]...[/html] tags)

Also, what type of DCR is it ? XML DCRs only need Root.Head.Title (or Root.Head.title)

finally keep you name location consistent. TS is case sensitive and this will cause you problems sooner or later.
