TeamSite Search

Hi all,
I am looking for configuration of Search with TeamSite.
The Search tool was already installed on the same server.
I have updated the search.properties to enable search for the workarea as by default it is disabled.
Initially branch,cfg was empty, I updated it with the branches which I need to index and search.

On running the command iwndxrefreshbr –b an error occurs saying”Error failed to connect to server: Connection refused”

And the indexer service goes down.
I have tried many times to bring it up and executing the above CLT, but same happens.

Anyone has any clues why this is happening? All pointers are appreciated.

-make sure TeamSite knows about the search server by adding the hostname to \iw-home\cssdk\cssdk.cfg (the entry is at the bottom of the cfg file)

-make sure your iwevent subsystem service is running.

-and if you have any content indexed under \shared_search_folder\ , delete it (i am assuming that you dont have anything important indexed yet).

How can we implement the cross branch search?
The Release Notes for the TeamSIte 6.7.1 says that
" Searching across branches or areas can be done using the Content Services API. ContentCenter users cannot currently search across branches or areas"

Can anyone please put focus on these Content Services and how to implement it?
I have looked in the docs but nowhere mentioned about the Content Service.

Please help me out..

Search for CSSDK (Content Services Software Development Kit) - you would have to write your own Java code using the CSSDK to implement the cross branch searching with the existing search services.
