Explorer Errors

Hi There,

I'm constantly having users complain about an explorer error saying "Class not registered" the funny thing is that it does not happen to all users, just a few. I initially thought it had something to do with the ie version but it happens for both ie 7 & 8.

Please help?

Can you provide more details about the error? Are these same users receiving this error on all forms on only certain processes/forms?

Yes, it's the same users getting the same error when trying to open any form/process. And only a few users are affected, all other users are working 100%

Can you provide a screenshot of the actual error? Does it state what class is not registered?

The other things I would check are the IE Security settings for one of the people that is experiencing the problem against another user's settings that is not having the problem.

Lastly, have you contacted the Metastorm Help Desk yet for assistance?

HI Scott, they are all the same, the decktop support guys even went to the extend of reinstallin IE, I have contacted the Metastorm Helpdesk and they said i must try running these IE Dlls: And still does not work ! i have attached the screen shot !

Could you please try registering the following IE dlls?

Go to Run

regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\urlmon.dll

regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\actxprxy.dll

regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\shdocvw.dll

regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\mshtml.dll

regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\browseui.dll

regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\jscript.dll

regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\vbscript.dll

regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\oleaut32.dll

Please note that this issue was closed out by the suport team when it was discovered the users' profiles were corrupt.

The customer created new ones and the problem was resolved.
