Deployment Service - Internal Error (when trying to deploy a ProVision converted project)
Good day,
We have converted a process from ProVision to Metastorm BPM using the connector, and after hammering the thing to become readible and (logically) executable, I validated it (all good) and then deployed... then I get this error:
Error3/17/2011 5:09:13 PMAn internal error has occurred within the Deployment Service. This error has been logged by the server. Please contact your System Administrator.
With this being logged in the event log:
Fatal -> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at Metastorm.Deployment.Maps.MapDeployer.InsertFolderPages(DeploymentInfo info, IStageInfo stageInfo) at Metastorm.Deployment.Maps.MapDeployer.ProcessStages(Map map, IEntity rootEntity, DeploymentInfo info, PrepareStageCommand prepareStageCommand, ProcessFolderPages processFolderPages) at Metastorm.Deployment.Maps.MapDeployer.InsertStages(Map map, IEntity rootEntity, DeploymentInfo info) at Metastorm.Deployment.Maps.MapDeployer.PrepareInsertStageCommand(DeploymentInfo info, IEntity rootEntity, IStageInfo stageInfo, Int32 priority) at Metastorm.Deployment.Maps.MapDeployer.ProcessStages(Map map, IEntity rootEntity, DeploymentInfo info, PrepareStageCommand prepareStageCommand, ProcessFolderPages processFolderPages) at Metastorm.Deployment.Maps.MapDeployer.InsertStages(Map map, IEntity rootEntity, DeploymentInfo info) at Metastorm.Deployment.Maps.MapDeployer.Deploy(IEnumerable`1 entitiesToDeploy, IEntity rootEntity, DeploymentInfo info) at Metastorm.Deployment.Core.Deployer`1.Deploy(IEnumerable entitiesToDeploy, IEntity rootEntity, DeploymentInfo info) at Metastorm.Deployment.Core.DeploymentService.DoDeploy(IEntity rootEntity, IEnumerable`1 entities) at Metastorm.Deployment.Core.DeploymentService.Deploy(IEntity root, IEnumerable`1 entities)
I have read elsewhere on the forum that there's been an error similar to this issue, which was fixed by recreating db tables and deleting data of previous version of the process. Difference is, this has never been deployed so there's no old data pieces of the process in the DB.
It coming from ProVision and giving me this error is already a headache cause I dont know where to start looking for that 'null pointer exception' the event log speaks off...
Anyone know of a solution? I know it's a long shot...
Thanks
Thomas
