Memo field loses contents if filled after using a drodown in a grid

This one was a really hard one to find, as you can imagine by the title. If you leave the editable grid on a dropdown, then enter a memo field and enter some data, the data is lost. If the field is set to required, you get a message saying it should be filled, then it is emptied as soon as it gets focus.

We had absolutely no idea why data was not getting saved, and had to eliminate every field and bit of script. It kept coming back to the grid, and I had a sneaky suspicion because there were issues with leaving grid when on a dropdown in a previous version.

Data is saved if entered before using the grid (very odd that).

Not sure if other fields have the same problem.

This is in 9.0.3, not sure about previous versions.

 

Attachment keeps failing with the error: "The attachment's content type (binary/octet-stream) does not match its file extension"
