Is there anyway to customize to prevent two layer of pop ups. The client using Sharepoint webpart, that opens a folder and clicking on an action opens up a form. That brings two level of pop ups. Just trying to figure out if we can restrict to just one pop up. Is this possible, has anybody done this before? Thanks!!

But seriously, no. This is the way it has worked since version 6 on. It is kind of nice to be able to have as many folders open as you like. It becomes quite limiting not to be able to.

 

Having said that, I gather there is a new client interface planned that may allow this single window approach. Not very soon, though.
