How to implement Delegation or Transfer of Authority with BPM v9?

Good day,

 

Does anyone know if Metastorm v9 has a delegation of transfer of authority capability that can be implemented globally through-out all processes?

 

In our previous version 6.6, we created our own primitive delegation mechanism using additional tables and queries against each role of a process. This however was cumbersome to implement and maintain.

 

Has anybody implemented processes where users may transfer their authority when absent from work?

We had a couple working well in version 5/6/7 that could easily be implemented in version 9. Our main concern is the number of different features that may be required.

 

In our existing one, you set the delegate, the Processes to delegate (IIRC), and the start and end dates. They act wholly as you, but through a different login and their own password. All actions taken by the delegate are listed by the delegation folder.

 

There was also a 'proxy initiator' one we did, but I am not certain the features right now.

 

Would the first be of interest? If so, I think we could resurrect it.
