DAS: ERROR:SimpleDateFormat.parse()

Hi,

Datadeploy failed when I set date = '29-02-2012' or '29-02-2008' and the log file shows

DAS: ERROR Smiley Frustrated

impleDateFormat.parse() could not parse the string '29-02-2012' with format: dd-MM-yyyy
DAS: ERROR:data-format attribute for the column must conform to the format documented in SimpleDateFormat class
DAS: Column: MCON_ARC_DTM, field: TeamSite/Metadata/intranet_archival_date, Index: 10,Converting '29-02-2012' to TIMESTAMP

Os : window 2003
Teamsite verion : 6.5
Database : Oracle 9i

Please give me some suggestion.

Chances are the DB does not use European date format (dd-mm-yyyy) but instead uses either american date format (mm-dd-yyyy) or universal dae format (yyyy-mm-dd) - I suggest you try converting your dates (programmatically behind the scenes to one of those formats and see if that resolves the problem ... or look into Oracle configuration and see if there's a way to set the DB to accept european format.

My date format is specificed in dbshcema.cfg as

You need to lookup the correct strings to use for the different parts of date and time information for your particular DB.

I'm pretty sure that if HH is hours, that MM is minutes - not months - although some versions of Oracle seem to use 'mi' (or MI ?) for minutes, etc.

My guess is that you are not passing an intelligible request to the DB for transforming the date / time string its getting into the date / time string for which you are asking.

yes it works for me after inserting the following lines in the dbschema. I guess this is not documented anywhere except devnet Smiley Happy
