Workroute - Chained Process Node

We are using a Chained Process (processB) node to create a second workflow process from an original one that is ending (processA).
I need to attach to the chained process the same document originaly attached to the processA.
As first activity of processB I set a Delay Node containing the call to a Java class that execute the followin' method:

Reaching the call to the addAttachment method the following exception is launched:

Fri Aug 31 09:47:14 CEST 2007: ProcessInstanceProxy.editForEnactment: com.fujitsu.iflow.common.exceptions.ServerOperationFailed: Could not edit the process instance. {Process instance can not be locked by 'wfadmin' (session=34621). The process was locked by user '(!)' (session=(!)) at Thu Jan 01 00:59:59 CET 1970 and it is still locked.}

I can' t understand why. Please help me or tell me if there's a smarter way to reach the goal.
