Good morning ~
Is there a way create a default style on an object based on the model that is created?
For a simple example, in all of our communication models, our analysts manually modify the style of a business domain to an ellipse. In a process model the analysts need to the business domain needs to be a rectangle (which is the current default style).
I am working on creating a unique modeling language for our agency. Having this in place will reduce time for our analysts.
Any suggestions?
Tim,
Can you please tell me on how did you go about in creating a unique modelling language for your company? I am hunting out an effective way to do so for my unit as well.
I tried creating objects in a model with the needed shapes, sizes, colors and saving it as a template but was not able to pull back that template for actual modelling purposes.
Hello to all of you.
There is no such concept as a style for a given modeler. The style is defined in the modeling language and will apply (by default) to all models where the object is present. Then, working by exceptions, you may apply a different style (to the rule) in some specific models.
Hope this helps,
Thanks,
Thierry.
OK, I found out that I can create a custom object and was able to assign it to the Subject Objects as well as the Member objects for a particular model.
Now what I need is to be able to assign associations to it.....It looks like I can create custom properties for this object, but I cannot link to other models....Is this true or am I missing something? I
For example, I created a custom object that will display the object as an ellipse on my communication modeler, however, it appears that you lose the functionality to link to other types of models. (Example: Communication model to Process Model.)
