Tool to automation tests of metastorm platform
Welcome
I've got questions for you guys. In my company we have platform created on Metastorm BPM 7. Our quality department is looking for a tool for automations tests. We checked some popular tools, but they don't work properly. We need also to record test cases.
Maybe somebody know a tool which can be useful for automation tests of metastorm platform?
I'll be very grateful for help

Because of the nature of the Web Client we see a lot of customers using applications from Visual Studio Team System through to the likes of Mercury Loadrunner to test via browser scripts...

Hi,
I've just been pointed to this post so forgive me if you've now found something. We've talked to many customers / clients that have issues with running reproducible tests against Metastorm systems whilst allowing the tests to adapt as quickly as the processes can.
Setting up tests that target the front end of Metastorm with traditional tools can take considerable time and effort and this often needs to be redone if the UI for a process changes. With this in mind we have developed a tool called ProcessRunner that can be pointed towards a Metastorm BPM engine and based upon the process definition held within the database will allow you to create test scripts for individual processes.
Tests can scripts be re-ran and they allow additional scenarios such as pushing folders through to specific points in a process for further manual testing (useful if you have complex UI interactions late on in a lengthy process that need to be tested repeatedly) and even load testing your processes as you change or upgrade your environments.
ProcessRunner is not a UI testing tool so it does not focus on the user experience and it will not test client side scripts, however it will exercise all of your process actions and any additional code that executes sever side. ProcessRunner don’t claim to cover 100% of your testing needs but it's can certainly be a very useful part of your testing toolset. One last point, if your processes change the updates to the test within ProcessRunner can be minimal .
We have more information on our website (although it should be updated for V9) http://www.processtrack.com/services.php?serviceID=10
Please feel free to PM me or contacted us through our web site if you require any more additional information.
Best regards,
Paul.
