Compilation time issue

Created same ipl in two different cms box. ipl contains just 3 foreach loop(400 times). I compiled through iwperl command. Second CMS box compilation is taking double time to compare with first one.

What should be problem here?
Is it cache issue? or any thing else?

Please help me to sort out this problem.

I have dealt with issues like this before. There is no good way to debug. In my case the loop made a call to another server (LDAP) but the networking was messed up and it was going to the incorrect LDAP server and had a 1 minute timeout.

In your case, start with 2 different programs and see if the problem is specifically with your system (and all Perl runs slower) or if it is related to the code.

Also, you are traversing the workarea ? You should test to see if it is TS performance related (likely). Use File:Find in a loop on both and just see if they run at the same time. Also, count the total # of files while you run your Find to make certain you are comparing apples to apples.

I checked memory while running command. First one taking 9.0% cpu, the problem one is taking 2.3% cpu maximum.
