External E-Mail Issue

Hi Friends,

I am using workflow modeler with TS 6.7.1. I want to send an external Email to reviewer. For this i configured the following files and variables:-
1. Configured iw.cfg file(domain name, SMTP server, email_map.cfg).
2. Configured the email_map.cfg.
3. Configured the Email variables in Modeler accord the Modeler book:-

(1)mail_template=/iwadmin/main/config/STAGING/workflow/email/configurable
ReviewerNotification.xsl

(2)className=com.interwoven.ui.teamsite.workflow.task.urltask.
AuthorMailNotificationTask

(3)target_taskname=ReviewerMailNotificationTask (This is target task name)

but email task is not working. What else i have to configure for this.

Any suggestions??

Generally - you need to use the email_map.cfg (which is better than hard-coding an email address somewhere else) - depending on what mail script your using will determine which email_map.cfg you need to modify:

The default command for Email Tasks is the iw_solution_email.ipl script - but you generally have to edit the command to insert the "-t taskName" argument as well as making sure that the various template properties are filled in for header and HTML body (and/or plain text body) PTs.

Actually, if you're using 671SP1 - it's possible that there might be an alternative mechanism to using iw_solution_email.ipl - since that's a perl script and might not work if you're using "non-OS users" ...

It's possible with 6.7.1SP1 that you might have the option to use XSLT files instead of "standard" PTs for the mail header and body generation - in case you're using "non-OS users" -- but I haven't dug into any of that yet, so I'm not sure.
