apply Quick Search to custom page?

Is there a quick and easy way to apply the Quick Search functionality to a text box and button on one of our custom pages?

Yes you can do that. Quick Search metadata field has a unique GUID that you can use to search. Make sure quick search is enabled on the server and working correctly on the server first. The SDK examples available on support site has a search.asp example page with useful code.

In include/Constants.asp page of your web client code refer to the value of c_FullTextIndexGUID.

It is {F24FC776-00D2-4ED7-ADA3-9D5288B149A3}.
