Regular expression Phone/Fax number on the DCR

Hi Friends,

I want a regular expression, which should accept a textbox input on DCR:

1) Numerics, Spaces and Hyphens only.
2) Numerics and Spaces only.

Any help is appriciated.

search on net or see FormAPI guide. regular expresson for phone is there.
I suggest first you try to write. if still face any problem then ask for help.

You're talking about the validation_regex in the DCT? That's a static setting which could be fairly simplistic or convoluted depending on what you're willing to accept - alternatively you could use FormAPI to validate the value and be able to re-format the value the way you really want it, while validating it.

Generally speaking, you seem to be expecting a value like:
