IBM Secureway Directory

Does anyone has suceeded in user LDAP authentication with Teamsite with this environment : Win2000 + TS5.5.1 + LDAP (IBM Secureway Directory V3.2.2) ?

The first question would be to know if IWOV support such integration (I mean support IBM Secureway Directory with TS5.5.1 on Win2000) ? Is there somebody from IWOV who could answer ?

Remy,

Even though, I have not personally integrated TS with IBM SecureWay LDAP, my belief is that Interwoven TS will integrate with any standard LDAP.

Have you already tried to integrate? Are you running into issues?

Yes I have tried to integrate TS 5.5.1 with IBM Secureway Directory 3.2.2. This LDAP is bundled with IBM WebSphere Portal Server V4.1.2 So on my laptop I have all this stuuf installed (WPS 4.1.2, SecureWay 3.2.2, DB2 V7.2, TS 5.5.1) and I also intergated IBM/IWOV porlets succesfully.

I and Interwoven technical team have had to show a lot of thing in a proof of concept for a very bank and famous bank in France, interested by a portal/WCM solutions. There were the question about LDAP integration and unfornately I have not been able to show it. Even if now it to late with this customer, the problem is still alive for me because the question come every time and WE NEED TO GET IT WORKING QUICKLY. Interwoven competitors are able to show this !!!!

Please, are you able to help me !!!! (It's again urgent because I'm currently working on two proposals where TS is included and next steps are the shows where LDAP integration is required).

In a more technical point of view ...... here are the lines added in my iw.cfg file:

authenticate_by=ldap
ldap_server=localhost
ldap_port=389
ldap_dnbase=dc=fr,dc=ibm,dc=com
ldap_key=uid
ldap_account=uid=wpsadmin,cn=users,dc=fr,dc=ibm,dc=com
ldap_pwd=marianne

and here is my export.ldif from my IBM Secureway Directory : (See attached file: export.ldif)

The user wpsadmin is definied in ldap but not in Microsoft OS.

The error message with a try with "wpsadmin" user is :
TeamSite ne reconnaît pas le nom de l'utilisateur. Veuillez
essayer à nouveau.

Sorry it's french but that means : Teamsite don't recognize the username. Please try again.

wpsadmin is defined in the master.uid role file.

Please let me know if you have an idea or could you put me in contact with somebody in your team ?

You need to add wpsadmin user in the OS too.. From what I know here are some info:

-Teamsite uses LDAP to just lookup usernames and roles (if you are managing it)
-Teamsite relies on the OS to authenticate/verify the password that the user enters.

Can you please try to test by adding the user in your OS? Also, do keep me posted in this forum. I am very interested in seeing what happens.
