chicka
Hi,
ENV: TS 6.7.1 on Solaris 10
When I execute iwversion CLT I get the following o/p.
[Thu Dec 27 16:53:39 2007] WARNING: Group buffer size should be 8192 bytes.
iwserver: 6.7.1 Build NoNumber Interwoven 20071008
Wanted to understand the purpose of "Build number".
Please shed ligt on this.

Since not everyone keeps track of patches or leaves their uninstall information, the build number gives support the exact patch and TS level

Hi Nipper,
Is this an issue in my server and do I need to take this to support team?

I believe there's a KB on the buffer size error message somewhere - but you should contact Support about the build number issue anyway - and they can give you the info on the buffer size thing at the same time (if you don't find it yourself)

Yep KB 57829 - it is a Solaris issue, or non-issue really:
The warning is an informational message only and does not impede on TeamSite's functionality. The warning will be suppressed in the upcoming TeamSite 6.5 SP3 and 6.7.1 SP1 service packs.

KB for buffer size warning would be KB57829, IW Support would say that we won't be seeing this warning message in TSlogs or as error messages if we move to 6.7.1 SP1. Contacting support is best as Fish suggested.

BuildNoNumber means you were given a black patch. Only official releases contain build numbers.
