IManDocument.EditDate property

Is there a way to access the full date and time value of the IManDocument.EditDate property? The COM seems to just return the date, and not the fully qualified date/time.
Speaking in terms of the database schema, I would like to access DOCMASTER.EDITWHEN column via the API

The combination of nrEditDate and nrEditTime returns the complete time stamp of file edit date.
