infopath date picker rendering issue when running on IE 8.

We came across an issue that was reproducible on IE 8. If certain anomoly conditions were met, the InfoPath form would rendered an extra line above the date field. It seemed like it was an issue with the date picker object. Bottom line-- the InfoPath form was not displaying as it should.

The solution was a configuration parameter setup on IE 8. Seems like IE 8 has different browser settings modes. These modes, if not configured correctly, could cause display issues. In our case the document mode and browser mode were different. We set the document and browser modes to IE 8.
