Purpose of the hotfix:

 

This hotfix addresses the following issues:

 

• Search terms pasted into the Find box are not retained. (Defect \# SR-02152012-0030, DEF8753). This issue has been originally fixed as a part of 9.2.0 release.

 

• Temporary files with extension TMP located in the %temp% folder are not being deleted. (Defect \# SR-10072011-0016,SR-10312011-0012, DEF19041). This issue has been originally fixed as a part of 9.1.2 release.

 

• Scripts that have a very long running time may exceed the time limits causing the transaction to abort and result in ambiguous error messages, such as, "Failed to execute 'system action'". (Defect \# SR-01312012-0010, SR-11092011-0018, DEF19591). This issue has been originally fixed as a part of 9.1.3 release.

 

• In certain instances, timed loopback actions are executed repeatedly. (Defect \# SR-06022011-0010, SR-08082011-0009, SR-02172011-0011, SR-05022011-0004, SR-02152012-0023, SR-03152012-0019, DEF19055). This issue has been originally fixed as a part of 9.1.2 release.

 

• Logging of Visual Script Activities in the eMSWorkflowEvent table is not configurable. Defect \# SR-04092012-0011, DEF17478). This issue has been originally fixed as a part of 9.1.0 release.

 

• Incorrect error message is displayed in Oracle on session expiry if the parent window is closed. (Defect \# SR-01312011-0018, DEF16374). This issue has been originally fixed as a part of 9.1.0 release.

 

• When using Oracle database, if the user session times out, an incorrect error is displayed: “Stored procedure 'esp\_get\_custom\_lists' failed.”(Defect \# SR-12062011-0013, DEF19380). This issue has been originally fixed as a part of 9.1.3 release.

 

• Grid row with a column having null Date/Time value does not trigger the behavior associated with the "When user selects row" property. (Defect \# SR-04212011-0021, SR-07262011-0001, SR-04112012-0009, DEF17285). This issue has been originally fixed as a part of 9.1.0.2 release.

 

• DMS Clip attachment does not show all the available options when the selection option is cancelled. (Defect \# SR-03222012-0017, DEF19974). This issue has been originally fixed as a part of 9.1.3 release.

 

Implications of the hotfix and other considerations:

              

• Transfer any customized settings from the Web.config.backup.Before- file, created automatically during the hotfix installation,  and copy it to the updated web.config file as needed after the hotfix installation. (Defect \# SR-04292011-0005, DEF17575)

 

• Usage of ECL SetCulture method is demonstrated in sample clients updated in SDK 9.0.2.3.(Defect \# SR-07182011-0007, DEF18650)

 

• Scripts with lengthy processing time cause timeout errors due to maximum processing time in databases and .NET, and also dependent on system performance. In case of such a timeout, a record is entered into eLog table, “Transaction was aborted due to query timeout.” The recommended best practice is to create scripts that have a short execution time. (Defect \# SR-01312012-0010, SR-11092011-0018, DEF19591).
