File Size of uploaded files

Hi All,

We are using T.S 6.7.1 & OD 6.11 on Windows 2003 server.

I am trying to capture the file sizes of various files that the "browser" element on the DCT points to. This browser element is a replicant & has a filter on pdf's. onSaveValid event I want to figure out the file sizes of these various pdf's & store them in hidden fields of the DCR.
Is this possible & is there a easy way to handle this?

You may use FormAPI IWDatacapture.callServer method to accomplish that, there are usage samples in the FormAPI manual
and on DevNet. Alternatively, you may play with JS document.fileSize attribute. Personally, I would prefer callServer,
fileSize has portability issues and most importantly you would have to open your Files in some hidden window. That may
be a serious performance hit.
