Show Updated Folders in To Do List/ Watch List

I have a couple of questions, regarding when a change is made in an already ongoing process:

 

1. How can we update the To Do List, so that the if the folders sitting at a stage (group stage) are available to newly added users?

 

2. If changes were made in the stages captions, how can we update the stage captions so that it shows the new caption? (For example if we have folder sitting in a stage with the caption of "Stage 1" and we change the caption to "Stage Number 1", old folders will show the "old" caption and newly created folder will have the "new" caption, how can we unify this to show all folders in this stage as "Stage Number 1".

There may be a couple of solutions for either, but here is something off the top of my head.

 

The "proper" way to update folder details in a stage (name/users/etc.) is for some sort of action to occur on the folder.  While its possible to update eAlert directly, I won't go into that.

 

1.  Updating users on a folder in a stage should have an action taken.  This could be a flag or some other trigger action (manual or conditional for instance).  Either way, presuming its a loop-back action, it needs to be set to rebuild to do list.

 

2.  Stage caption would be similar -- an action.  The caption is built in eAlert when the entry is created.  It is only updated when the records are rebuilt.  Since this shouldn't happen as frequently, a direct update of eAlert.eStageCaption would be possible when you deploy the change.
