Problem in retrieving PNG assets from MediaBin

Recently we have upgraded to MediaBin 461 from MediaBin452.
Now when we are trying to download a PNG image from MediaBin, it throws following error -
"RC = File Format unsupported by Decoder"
For all other types, its working fine. I have searched related threads and tried some suggestions mentioned, but didnt work.

Any pointers in this regard would be of great help.

Try to retrieve the asset via a "(Get Original)" task and resinert to see hwat happens (i.e., can this new copy be retrieved and what metadata including "Asset Type" shows up for the new asset.

I tried that but it give the following error -

The system cannot find the file specified.Exception in primitive.
Reason= Could not open file. Message= cgetOriginalPrimitive::ReceiveParameters() Could not copy file.
Error : The operation failed.

That is not a good sign! This is definitely time to open a support case and be sure you provide them with mbp.log spanning the time you attempted to retrieve the asset. It sounds as if your repository got corrupted. Could you have run out of disk space?

Patch 1850 is a new MB_PNG.DLL.

Did you try that yet?
