Anyone know because when I click to open the columns in the grid properties Designer.exe crashes. It's something in my environment because if it works on other computers.

For repeatable Designer crashes such as this, the likely cause is bad temp data. You should close Designer and clear our the following directory:
C:\Users\YOUR_USER_HERE\AppData\Local\IsolatedStorage\
This should remove the temp data and allow your Designer to work properly.
