New to PM4DATA / Help with Scripting

Hii all,

 

I'm new to pm4data, and I need to make an script (.ksh or .xms) that changes some monitoring directories, replacing one substring with other one (both given).

 

Any good manual or any idea... for example is there command (native) in PM4Data that allows me to do what I want to do ?

 

Any help will be appreciated!!!

I am not quite understanding what you want to do. If you want to change what directory monitor is looking for, take a look at the .xml files which directory monitor uses as its configuration.

 

Make two copies of the .xml file that has the alternate settings. You could use the xmstop command to stop directory monitor, then copy over the correct .xml file, then restart it with the xmstart command.
