Designer stability

Hi all,

 

Does anyone experience issues with Designer stability?

 

It is something I have gotten used to since 9.0 (currently on 9.2.1), but when using the Designer extensively and coding quickly (espeically when using BO's or closing multiple tabs), the Designer throws an error and crashes (and I lose my work).

 

I have changed computers, reinstalled the Designer, cleared out IsolatedStorage, etc over time... nothing has made a difference.

 

Does anyone else experience these issues?

    I've seen a number of stability issues, scroll right or left in the designer with a mouse, but usually the exception is caught in a dialog and I can hit cancel instead of close.

    Yes I experienced the same issue that you have had. 

     

    Using the "Close Other Tabs" when there a bunch open can cause Metastorm to crash.  I have also noticed that if there are too many temp files ie above 65k+, Metastorm crashes a lot or the Process Engine is approaching the 1GB memory usage.

    There is a huge memory leak with the 'close other tabs' operation. I don't mean memory is not freed, I mean much more is actually used after this operation and never released.

    Generally I close and reopen the Designer to achieve the same result.

    Version 9.1.3.6 Designer is much more stable, but the huge number of issues actually introduced (and reported in detail with examples) in this hotfix make it impossible for us to use.
