Database deployment starting from root in a single time

Hi All,
Just want to know for information that - Is it possible to deploy the entire xml file to database as a dump starting from root(including all its inner nodes) using DataDeployment script.
I would appreciate all suggestions in this regard.

Should be possible. DataDeploy processes the information in the DCR into its own internal framework and then deploys to the target database tables as you have them defined in your configuration file.

I am usin WIN 2k3, OD 6.1.1(with DD), DB2 8.1, Universal Driver.
I was trying to deploy entire xml by using following line in DD config file:

column name="c_type_desc" data-type="CLOB" value-from-field="Root/0" is-replicant="no" allows-null="no" is-url="no"

But it is not working and neither showing any signficent error, just showing some SQL error code -
ERROR:
com.ibm.db2.jcc.a.SqlException: DB2 SQL error: SQLCODE: -407, SQLSTATE: 23502, SQLERRMC: TBSPACEID=2, TABLEID=83, COLNO=1

Please show me any pointer to implement it or if you have any idea to do this in some other way.

Actually I got resolved the problem. And Here are my conclusions. If you have some spare time just go through it and let me know if i am wrong anywhere -

* We can dump the entire xml into database using URL address along with CLOB data type. (I spent lot of time on it due to a minor mistake in ddadmin.pdf). But overall it was a good practice.

**We even dont need to convert the xml into string by using any Perl Smiley Very Happy

BI module.
