Where is a sample REST API project for CS 10.5?

Hi,
I am a newbie and I just learned that CS 10.5 includes the REST API, not requiring the appworks gateway (yah!). Now the obvious question: Where is a simple "hello world" REST API application using CS 10.5 and how can one activate it? Also, on page 37 of the CS v10.5 release notes it states that you must disable WebDAV if you are using IIS to activate the REST API. What gives with that? No drag and drop if you want to use the REST API. Clarification needed. Thanks in advance!

About the WebDAV:

You can continue using the WebDAV together with the REST API on a single server. The remark has been added to the release notes because we encountered multiple CS instances with the WebDAV misconfigured.

WebDAV is supposed to be enabled only in its specific virtual directory (usually /otcsdav or /livelinkdav) and not in the virtual directory with the CGI executables and ISAPI filters for the general usage (usually /otcs or /livelink). Enabling WebDAV beyond its virtual directory or globally was no problem for the classic CS pages, which do GET and POST requests. However, it would block DELETE and PUT requests made by the REST API clients and OPTIONS requests made by the web browser in the CORS scenario.

If you have the WebDAV configured correctly (only in its virtual directory) you need no additional configuration to start using the REST API.

Hi Ray, have you found anything relevant to your question, I'm in the same boat and did get some the rest api calls to work (get nodes / auth / delete / add version / get details) but presently struggling on the get content call. Anyways I would be glade to share some of my experiences up to now, cheers!
