Tempo Box, VM's, and iPad app

Hello everyone,

I recently installed Tempo Box (and Content Server) on a VM to try out the installation procedure. Worked fine, but I'm stumped with one final step in the process, and I can't seem to find my error.

I have Content Server and Tempo Box, on a VM, connected to our network and internet. If I log on to Tempo Box via the Safari browser on the iPad it works like a charm. However, if I enter the login info in the Tempo Box app, I get an error saying "Registration Failed, Please check the entered server and try again".

Same as with a login via the browser, the server I enter is http://domain.ourwebsite.com:8080 .

Anyone got a clue what I'm missing here? ô_o

The first thing to check is that you have the 'OpenText Tempo' app installed (https://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/opentext-tempo/id781547141?mt=8) and not the 'OpenText Tempo Box' from the App Store.

The OpenText Tempo app is built using the AppWorks platform, and is to be used for Tempo Box 10.5.0 and above. The older Tempo Box App remains in the App Store for customers running Tempo Box 10.0.4 and earlier.

Oh wow, just saw I have an answer here... so sorry for the late reply!
I worked around this via the Appworks app; your solution solved my dilemma with having a tempo-box app that just didn't wanna log in. Thank you, Curtis!
