Using ReviseAssetMetadata API

We are trying to update Metadata using the ReviseAssetMetadata API. How do you obtain the GUID value for a Metadata field? Also, if anyone has an example using the API it would help.

If it is an OOTB field then the API guide has the value at the end.

If it is a custom field, you can export the field as an xml file and it has the GUID.

The same information is also available in the DB.
