Front-end libraries / frameworks for mobile AppWorks

Has anyone has any experience using JavaScript / CSS frameworks or libraries in developing AppWorks applications? I'm not so much concerned with Cordova-like access to native device features, but am curious about:

jQuery / jQuery Mobile (I think I saw that use of jQM is deprecated?)
Zepto
Bootstrap
backbone.js

The sample "responsive" application looks like pretty much vanilla JS + swapper.js... I'm wondering what is supported and what has been done and what works well. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Bill,

We have used jQuery Mobile, Bootstrap and Backbone.js internally at OpenText. In principle, any JavaScript-based framework should work with AppWorks.

Thanks, Werner. Just out of curiosity, does the AppWorks client use the platform's default browser renderer to run/display the app, or does the AppWorks client itself have a built-in HTML/JS engine/renderer?

The AppWorks Client uses the web view provided by the device's operating system to run the HTML5/CSS/JavaScript app.
